Drinking to relieve constipation

BY Berton Gladstone 2020-05-03

I have already written one of the strongest ways to deal with constipation (increasing dietary fiber) and the second (oral high-dose vitamin C), this is the third-drinking to relieve constipation. This series is mainly to tell you some ways to relieve constipation. It does not mean that I advocate drinking alcohol frequently. I only provide the method, whether to choose, which method to use, and the autonomy lies with the readers.

In addition to stimulating (exciting and then inhibiting) the nervous system, alcohol (ethanol) also has a strong stimulating effect on the gastrointestinal tract. Among them, the effect of alcohol on intestinal peristalsis is very obvious, especially when the amount of alcohol consumed is large.

Whether drinking liquor or drinking beer, it promotes bowel movements and thus relieves constipation. Liquor has high alcohol content and strong stimulation to the gastrointestinal tract. Although beer has a low alcohol content, it has a large water content. If low temperature (cold cold beer) is added, the effect of stimulating bowel movement is more significant.

As for the method I introduced, I have tried it myself. According to my experience, the effect of wine laxative is obviously not as good as that of liquor or beer.

As for how much beer or liquor you drink, the laxative effect will appear. There is no unified recommendation for this amount. I estimate that the difference between individuals is very large and varies from person to person.

I repeat once again that heavy drinking is harmful to health. For those who never drink alcohol, I do not recommend drinking to treat constipation-but drinking can indeed treat many people''s constipation.
