Dialectically treat the speed of eating

BY Berton Gladstone 2020-05-08

According to the nutrition textbook (of course I am not against it), the speed of eating should be slow rather than fast. Chewing slowly will help digestion. However, it can be seen in real life that those who gobble up and eat very fast tend to have a healthy gastrointestinal tract, which not only has fewer gastrointestinal diseases, but also digests very well (so that gaining weight is another problem, here No discussion). Those with poor gastrointestinal tracts, gastritis or ulcers tend to eat more slowly. Of course, we cannot think that gobbling is more beneficial to health than chewing slowly, but this at least reminds us that the benefits of slow eating, that is, chewing slowly are not absolute, and fast eating is not absolutely harmful.

In fact, like the human body, the human stomach also needs exercise, such as cold, hard, spicy, rough, fast eating and other factors that are considered "unfavorable" to protect the stomach, on the other hand It is also an exercise for the stomach. The gastrointestinal tract needs protection, as well as exercise. Blind protection does not promote gastrointestinal health very well, just like the human body, it is not enough to raise it without exercise. Therefore, proper eating fast, cold, hard, spicy, rough food stimulation, as an exercise, is good for gastrointestinal health. Of course, all exercise must be done within our abilities (according to physical conditions, gastrointestinal health), not excessive, and eating too fast, cold, hard, spicy, rough food should not be too irritating.

The conclusion is, don’t just emphasize the benefits of chewing slowly (protecting the gastrointestinal tract), proper and fast eating is also beneficial, and can exercise the gastrointestinal tract. In actual life, you can use a faster or slower eating speed according to your gastrointestinal health.
