Why food breast enhancement is not reliable

  There are many foods that are said to be breast-enriching. Papaya is the most frequent one. Red wine, jujube, longan, black sesame, peanut, corn, pig''s trotters, honey... and collagen, protein powder and other health products have all been listed. However, breast augmentation with food (or health products) is a self-deception.

  Let us look at the anatomy of the breast. From deep to shallow, they are: ribs, pectoralis major muscles, posterior breast space, glandular tissues (breast lobule and input duct) and adipose tissue. The height of the breast is basically composed of these five parts.

   1. Needless to say, ribs, no matter how you eat, can not increase the rib contour or thickness.

   2. If the pectoralis major muscles are developed, it can increase the bust (the length of the circumference around the chest) and the height of the breast. But unless you do strength training, your muscles won''t develop just because of which food or health food to eat.

   3. The space behind the breast is very small, under normal circumstances it has little effect on breast height and bust. However, placing a breast prosthesis (breast augmentation material) at this site through surgery can increase the breast height and change the shape. But these have nothing to do with eating.

   4. The size of glandular tissues, including mammary gland lobule and inlet tube, mainly depends on innate genetics and hormone (oxytocin, estrogen, progestin) levels. Breast enlargement during pregnancy is caused by changes in these hormone levels. The normal diet does not contain the above hormones, so it cannot affect the size of breast glandular tissue. Normal doses of contraceptives (estrogen or progesterone) have only a slight stimulating effect on breast glandular tissues and generally cannot achieve breast enhancement.

   5. Adipose tissue is the most easily changed part. Increasing the amount of food, especially high-fat and high-sugar foods cause obesity, fat accumulation in the chest, bust will increase significantly. But breast height, especially relative to the height of the chest wall, will not increase significantly. On the contrary, because the accumulation of breast fat around the breast is more obvious, the height of the breast is "buried", and it often seems that the breast is smaller. On the other hand, after losing weight, people with large breasts and high breasts have reduced bust but the breast height is not small.

In summary, food can only change chest fat tissue, but not glandular tissue or muscle tissue. Although the accumulation of chest fat increases the bust, it does not increase the breast height. Therefore, it is impossible to breast enlargement (increasing breast height and volume) by eating certain foods or health products. Unless it quietly added hormone drugs.

  Conversely, if eating foods or health supplements can really improve breasts, why should those big international brands risk taking surgery on the breast or/and implanting a prosthesis?
