  Although I can understand that “without food additives, there is no modern food processing industry”; although some food experts warn people “not to be too sensitive to food additives”; although I also know that “as long as it meets the requirements of national standards The amount and scope of various food additives are harmless"; but, I still want to say that foods that contain a lot of food additives (except nutrition fortifiers) are actually garbage-definitely unhelpful and may be harmful. This is not extreme, and the reasons I say this are as follows:

   First of all, it is understandable for people to pursue the color, aroma, taste and taste of food. The Chinese are particularly good. However, when the color, aroma, taste and all good taste of the food come from artificially manufactured and added cheap chemicals (various food additives), rather than from natural food raw materials, this pursuit has actually been perverted. The beautiful colors you see are only chemically synthesized pigments, the scent you eat is only artificial flavors, the delicious taste you taste is just a blend of several additives, when the additives have surpassed natural food ingredients and become the protagonist , What you eat is not garbage?

  Second, although in theory, as long as it meets the requirements of national standards (including dosage and application range, etc.), various food additives are harmless, but how many Are things completely in line with theory? How many things do not match the theory? Are there too few phenomena of over-use and over-use of additives? Especially considering the fact that the current supervision and testing of food additives is not strict Is it safe to eat foods containing a large amount of more than ten kinds of additives?

  Finally, many processed foods repeatedly use additives, that is, several food additives with the same function are applied in one food. For example, several preservatives, several emulsifiers, and several artificial sweeteners are used. Although the "Sanitary Standards for the Use of Food Additives" (GB2760-2007) regulates this usage, that is, the sum of the respective dosages of food additives with the same function in the standard should not exceed 1. However, this approach still has the suspicion of circumventing the requirements of national standards.

   Moreover, the repeated use of multiple additives with the same function is obviously to make the addition effect better, such as longer shelf life, more complex sweetness, more varied colors, more prominent fragrance, etc. There is a question of "necessity" here. I think this is the case (of course, others may not agree), for example, ham sausages inevitably need to add preservatives, add a certain amount of preservatives to achieve a shelf life of 1, 2 months, you have to add a variety of preservatives, so that the shelf life reaches As long as 1, 2 years, there is no need. Repeated application of multiple additives with the same function will undoubtedly increase potential safety hazards. Food additives are suitable but not enough?

   In a word, in our daily recipes, processed foods account for an ever-increasing proportion, which is accompanied by more and more food additives, and its safety issues are worth attention.
