Vegetarian shops may not be healthy

  Vegetarian shops will play at least two cards in concept, environmental protection and health. But looking at the few vegetarian restaurants I have eaten, it may not be healthy. These vegetarian restaurants usually process the "vegetable" forage into the "meat dish" look and taste, such as vegetarian ribs, vegetarian abalone, vegetarian fish, vegetarian shrimp.... regardless of their appearance and taste are somewhat similar to the meat dish.

   In order to do this, vegetarian restaurants eat a lot of fried cooking methods. The amount of cooking oil is very large, so it contains a lot of fat. I used to eat vegetarian food in a Taoist temple, and the oil was so greasy that I couldn''t swallow it. One of the most important reasons why meat dishes are criticized and vegetarians are sought after is that meat dishes are fat and not good for health. It is unknown that vegetarian food prepared with a large amount of cooking oil contains more fat. Although the fat in vegetable oils is mainly unsaturated fatty acids, too much unsaturated fatty acids are also harmful, obesity, fatty liver, arteriosclerosis, accelerated aging, tumors... When there is no meat on the table, you have to use "oil" to win and attract customers, which is a common disadvantage of vegetarian restaurants.

   I am also a bit puzzled. Why do you want to process vegetarian food into the appearance and taste of ribs, fish, shrimp and even abalone? Obviously to cater to the needs of customers, but if you don’t like the natural taste of vegetarian food, Can not avoid the shortcomings of meat eating (high fat) through vegetarianism, so why eat vegetarian food?-Of course, environmental protection is another reason.

   In short, you diners should never think that eating a vegetarian restaurant is necessarily healthy. In my experience (not necessarily correct), many dishes in many vegetarian restaurants are even unhealthy. I think that if you want to get healthy, the key is to pay attention to the combination of meat and vegetarian, reduce fat intake, especially the amount of oil, which is not directly related to whether to eat a vegetarian restaurant.
