   BCG vaccination time is generally within 24 hours after the baby is born, the vaccination site is the upper arm deltoid muscle. The Ministry of Health of China stipulates that if a baby who has not been vaccinated with BCG is under 3 months old, he can be replanted directly; if he is between 3 months and 3 years old, a tuberculin test is required and the result is negative; then he can be replanted; 4 Babies aged 4 years and older will not be replanted.

   It doesn’t matter if you miss the prescribed time, the vaccine can be postponed, and timely replanting is enough. It should be noted that the baby should not be in contact with tuberculosis patients within 2-3 months of vaccination. If you find swollen lymph nodes in the arm of the same side of your baby''s vaccination site, take your baby to the hospital for examination in time.

  Possible reactions after the baby is vaccinated with BCG vaccine:

  Parts of the vaccination site may have redness, pustules, and finally scabs. Some children may have low fever, which is the normal reaction after BCG vaccination, and it will naturally return to normal after some time. After the scab on the inoculation site is peeled off, the skin will leave a stuck mark.

  In some cases, local reactions may be too severe, such as long-term drainage of pus, or wound infections, swollen axillary lymph nodes, ulceration, etc., and may sometimes cause systemic reactions such as high fever. In this case, the child should be taken immediately Specialized hospital for inspection.
