Careful analysis shows that many of the patients are diseases caused by excessive exercise or incorrect exercise selection.

  Take the case of a young patient I received at the free clinic that day. It is a young woman, just 35 years old, because of a year of pain in the left knee joint, and came downstairs and was unable to come. See a doctor. After careful inspection, I found that her knee joint was tender, and her pain was characterized by increased joint activity, especially when weight-bearing, and reduced or relieved after resting.

   After X-ray film examination, the results suggest that the left knee joint subchondral bone sclerosis, and there is bone hyperplasia. Seeing this result, the young patient asked me what disease it was, and I told her "this is a degeneration of the joints (equivalent to signs of aging in the knees)". When she heard this, she seemed a little puzzled and asked, "Doctor, why do my knees show signs of aging? You have to know that only when people are old will the joints have bone hyperplasia, and I exercise regularly. ”

  After careful inquiry, she realized that this female patient usually keeps fit, and the intensity of exercise is still very large. She mainly does three kinds of sports—— Play badminton, spinning, running on slopes. When playing badminton, the knee joint is always in a semi-flexed state, and the pressure in the joint cavity is very high, which affects the nutrition of the articular cartilage; the extremely high-speed pedaling movement of the lower limbs of the dynamic driving speed increases the wear of the femoral condyle; the impact of the rapid running on the knee joint Force, the impact force inside the joint is great. The above three sports activities are all sports that require extra work of the knee joint, and sustained long-term and high-intensity stimulation will of course cause the knee joint to "prematurely" age.

  Badminton, spinning, and running on slopes, it’s enough to choose one, and it is better to cooperate with swimming, because the knee joint is not weight-bearing when swimming, and if it is free Swimming, but also exercise the quadriceps, which is very good for maintaining the stability of the knee joint.
