Are raw vegetables susceptible to bacteria?

I use raw vegetables when I make salads. Is it easy to get bacteria when eating raw vegetables?

    Green leafy vegetables: During the application of manure, green leafy vegetables may be contaminated with Novak virus. Eating unwashed contaminated vegetables raw is susceptible to infection. Always wash before eating, it is best to blanch in boiling water.
