I used to like xylitol. I chewed two, but I still have diabetes. Can I still eat xylitol?

Diabetics should avoid all sugary foods. Since diabetic patients cannot consume refined sugars, it is a good choice to use xylitol as a condiment. However, it should be noted that xylitol, like glucose, is composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. It can release heat energy after being oxidized in the human body. Xylitol may not need insulin to participate in the early stage of metabolism, but it needs insulin to promote in the later stage of metabolism.
