Glucose is needed for the normal operation of the brain. If the brain lacks glucose, there may be some inability to concentrate, dizziness, fatigue, etc.; in severe cases, palpitations, cold sweats, headaches, syncope. These mixed performances are generally called "hypoglycemic reactions."
