    First of all, this diet is quite unhealthy. High sodium and low potassium diets are the most important risk factors for the incidence of hypertension in China. Sodium salt (sodium chloride) is positively correlated with blood pressure levels and the prevalence of hypertension. Potassium intake is inversely related to blood pressure levels.
