How to distinguish between cold and wind and cold?

My child has a runny nose in these two days. I suspect she has a cold, is it a cold or a cold?

You can distinguish whether it is wind-cold or wind-hot according to the different states of the snot. If you have a clear snot, it is generally cold and windy; if your snot is thicker, there are some yellowing, it means that the wind and heat are cold.
