When I go out with friends, I often eat crayfish. One of my friends will eat shrimp heads. I would like to ask, is it possible to eat shrimp heads?

Most crayfish are farmed in artificial lakes and paddy fields. If the water source is not contaminated, the quality of crayfish will generally not cause major problems. However, crayfish have a relatively strong survivability. If the water source is contaminated with heavy metals, the pollutants will be transferred to the crayfish's shell and head. Therefore, when we eat crayfish, it is best to remove the shrimp shells and shrimp heads first to reduce safety risks.
