Why shouldn't green peppers stay in the refrigerator for a long time?

Male  34 years old 2018-06-26
I bought more green peppers a few days ago but did not finish eating them. I put them in the refrigerator to store them. Today I have taken them out and they have become dark.

When green peppers are stored in the refrigerator for a long time, they will freeze "injury", turn black, soften and taste. Because the temperature stored in the refrigerator is generally about 4 ℃ to 6 ℃, and the green pepper is 7. c to 8℃, so it should not be stored for a long time.
