When I take medicine at home, I sometimes take milk to take medicine. My mother said it was wrong, why?

Taking medicine with milk also makes it easy for the medicine to show a covering film, so that the mineral ions such as calcium and magnesium in the milk react chemically with the medicine to form a water-insoluble substance, which not only reduces the efficacy of the medicine, but also may cause harm to the body. Therefore, it is best not to drink milk for 1 or 2 hours before and after taking the medicine.
