Can diabetics eat purple potatoes

Male  60 years old 2018-06-23
I have been suffering from diabetes for almost 20 years. Recently, my blood sugar control is not ideal. After a meal, my blood sugar has increased significantly. I heard that the content of purple potato starch is low. Can people with diabetes eat it?

Diabetics should strictly follow the diet of diabetes, and the intake of staple food should be controlled within a reasonable range, and eat less greasy and high-sugar foods. Purple potato has the same carbohydrate content as rice, and can be exchanged with the same amount of staple food, that is, it can replace rice as a staple food, but like rice noodles, diabetics should strictly control their intake and not eat more.
