Is it effective to supplement iron with a wok?

My family uses an iron pan for cooking. I heard that iron can be supplemented. I wonder if this is the case?

The iron dissolving in the iron pan is non-hemochromic iron, and the absorption rate is often one tenth of that of animal-derived hemochromic iron. The help for iron supplementation may not be as great as people expect. Historically, until decades ago, people used to cook with iron pots, and even rely on iron pots for cooking and boiling water, but the incidence of anemia was much higher than it was a few decades ago. Judging from the current situation, poor rural areas use more iron pots, and rich people use more stainless steel pots and coated pots, but obviously the latter has a lower incidence of anemia. It can be seen that it is quite unreliable to use iron pots to supplement iron.
