This is because as we get older, the number of nerve cells (neurons) in the brain gradually decreases. When we were born, the number of nerve cells reached about 100 billion, but it began to decline year by year since we were 20 years old. By the age of 40, the number of nerve cells begins to decrease at a rate of 10,000 per day, which affects memory, coordination, and brain function.
