Can eating fruits often treat depression?

I have been in a bad mood these days, but every time I eat a little fruit, I feel a little happier. Can eating fruits cure depression?

    Many fruits contain large amounts of folic acid. Folic acid is a B vitamin. Green leafy vegetables and fruits are rich in folic acid. Researchers at York University in the United Kingdom have also found that the occurrence of depression symptoms is related to low levels of folic acid in the body.
