    1) The patient is younger than patients with gallstones, and some patients are related to congenital abnormalities of intrahepatic bile ducts. Patients often have a history of abdominal pain, chills, fever, and recurrent jaundice since childhood. (2) The liver function is damaged, and the gallbladder function may be normal. A variety of liver dysfunctions can occur during recurrent episodes, and alkaline phosphatase rises during the intermittent period; chronic disease can cause atrophy of liver lobe and liver fibrosis. 3) Abdominal pain, jaundice, and fever are the main symptoms, but typical severe colic rarely occur. 4) There are many complications and more serious. More common are suppurative intrahepatic cholangitis, liver abscess, and biliary bleeding.
