Is iron supplementation effective?

I have anemia, and occasionally my mother will buy me some iron supplement medicines. Can I take the supplements without taking the medicine?

Direct food supplementation is definitely not enough. If iron medicines (ferrous sulfate, 60 mg of iron per tablet, absorption rate 5% estimated) are used to supplement iron, approximately 51 tablets are required. In summary, people with iron deficiency anemia are futile in eating jujube, and it is wrong to use jujube to treat anemia.
