However, with the exception of individual meat processing companies or restaurants (generally used as coloring agents, but sometimes misused as table salt), even the above black processing points or illegal companies will not use nitrite as a substitute for table salt. Because nitrite can easily cause food poisoning, it is easy to cause accidents. More importantly, the price of nitrite is more expensive than table salt. Using it to replace table salt is not cost-effective (black processing is not stupid processing!).6
