I have been sickening and vomiting today. After going to the hospital, I found out that it was water poisoning. Was it caused by drinking too much water?

The symptoms of water poisoning are usually relatively unfamiliar. Water poisoning refers to the total amount of water ingested by the body exceeds the amount of water discharged, so that water is retained in the body, causing a decrease in blood osmotic pressure and an increase in circulating blood volume. Even in clinical work, water poisoning is a rare occurrence.
