What is the prognosis of epithelioid carcinoma of lung lymphoma
The prognosis of the patient is related to daily care. If you pay attention to the adjustment of diet and daily life, you can improve the patient''s immunity and prevent recurrence to a certain extent. The patient''s diet should eat light, easily digestible and nutritious food, avoid cold, greasy, spicy, quit smoking and alcohol.
Generally younger patients have fewer physical complications, and the patient’s prognosis is better. Patients with Hodgkin’s disease less than 50 years old have a higher survival rate than non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma children And the prognosis of elderly patients is generally worse than those aged 20 to 50 years.
Lymphoid epithelioma-like carcinoma mostly originates from the nasopharynx. It is an undifferentiated carcinoma with obvious lymphocytic infiltration. It is composed of undifferentiated cancer cells, abundant lymphatic interstitium, and squamous carcinoma cells. The cellular composition of ultrastructural features has been determined by many previous studies. The incidence and development of nasopharyngeal lymphoid epithelioma-like carcinoma are inextricably linked to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). The primary lymphoid epithelioma-like carcinoma of the lung has been reported for the first time since 1987, and fewer than 200 cases have been reported in the literature.
The reported cases are mainly from Southeast Asian populations, including the southeast coast of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. On the contrary, reports of the disease in the Caucasus and other races are very rare. Because Epstein-Barr virus has a clear regional epidemic and is consistent with the high incidence of primary pulmonary lymphoepithelioma-like carcinomas, multiple studies have also shown that EBV may be associated with the occurrence of primary pulmonary lymphoepithelioma-like carcinomas. Development plays a very important role, but this role may be regional and the relationship with the prognosis of the tumor is unknown.
